WestJet Following a second strike notice from WestJet's aircraft maintenance engineers, the federal government imposed binding arbitration between the airline and the union, preventing job action over the holiday weekend. WestJet's scheduled flights will take off as planned — barring any unexpected delays and cancellations — and the airline is tempting travellers to book flights from now through Feb. 16, 2025.
