At any given time, Vivian Dixon is preoccupied with the minutiae of maintaining luxury homes around the country.
One minute she’s tracking down a handyman to fix cracked marble in the master shower of an 8,000-square-foot mansion in California; the next she is worried about the toads invading a koi pond on the grounds of a $12 million estate in Hawaii.
Oh the hardened lives of the rich and bored
Is this the important crap you write about
Why is this a WSJ article?
You’d think that if they can afford 6 multimillion dollar estates they can afford an estate manager so she doesn’t have to strain her brain trying to figure out how to deal with a frog infestation at one of her ten koi ponds. BTW, I think shooting frogs with a BB gun is cruel.
And how is that making the world a better place?
I'll look after the one in the photo
How about also doing a story about the family who lives on the street, splitting their time between the grass, cardboard boxes, the car.....
Gosh that must be tough. Meanwhile a single mother has to work 3 jobs just to afford a roach infested one bedroom in the ghetto.
I really need to cancel my subscription.

This is why readership is down
There are no words. These people are vulgar. Money does not buy class.

They sound like jerks to me.
I know a few homeless people who could seriously help lighten their load.
Who... gives... a...fuck?
Uh, cool
Because this is the kind of hardcore meaningful reporting we expect from the Wall Street Journal 🙄
Does any one know of a good guillotine manufacturer?
eat the rich
I used to look at articles like this and think how nice but now I know that less is more in reality. It's not for everybody but I'm just not materialistic.
Thoughts and prayers
Of course.
I thought if you had multiple high-end homes - you'd have the staff to look after them as well?
