Tourism Minister Mohamaddin Ketapi says neither he nor his office received any invitation to an event, despite organiser's claim that he would be attending it.

Those who use names of any ministers for publicity without permission from the ministries involved can be subjected to the law, said Tourism, Culture and Arts Minister Mohamaddin Ketapi .

"Organising an event by using the name of a minister to publicise it is wrong, and those who misuse the name of the minister can be apprehended by the law," the minister warned.today that the Asia Pacific Tourism and Travel Federation had claimed that it obtained written permission from Mohamaddin, adding that the minister would be attending the event.

"If we accept or reject any invitation, my office would respond to the organisers in writing," he said.
