Airline giants, rail operators and British Transport Police are stepping up to get thousands of axed Thomas Cook employees back into work after the 178-year-old firm’s dramatic collapse yesterday.600,000 people stranded in other countriesVirgin Atlantic, easyJet and Tui have all listed job adverts in the wake of the closure, and have encouraged Thomas Cook employees to apply.

Tui and Easyjet have announced plans to hold recruitment fairs in the wake of yesterday’s announcement.
