Thomas Cook holidaymakers in Cuba ‘trapped’ by hotels as they’re told to pay extra

Thomas Cook collapsed on Monday, resulting in all flights and holidays with the tour operator being cancelled. The Civil Aviation Authority is now in the process of bringing back the 150,000 holidaymakers left stranded abroad by Thomas Cook’s demise. Yesterday, 70 flights operated to bring back more than 14,000 passengers and over 70 flights are scheduled today, to repatriate a further 16,500 people.
