A Kuala Lumpur City Hall Integrated Transport Information System spokesman said the traffic was heavier than usual due to the pipe burst.
It is learnt that the burst pipe was caused by a sinkhole on the road, and that it appeared in the morning. The spokesman said the affected stretch of road was temporarily closed to traffic, and vehicles had been diverted to the other lanes in Jalan Pinang. “The repair works are currently being conducted by the Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd . However, we are not sure about the cause of the pipe burst.”At 11.35pm last night, a car and its driver fell into a sinkhole in Jalan Maharajalela.
Can we improvise sink holes for tunnels to Penang or Singapore. Just a thought.
