THE POUND to euro exchange rate managed to creep up yesterday following a dramatic slump to a fourth-month low at the start of the week. The improvement came in part thanks to the weaker euro. So, what does this mean for Britons heading off on holidays and hoping to buy travel money?

Jeremy Thomson-Cook, Chief Economist at Equals , said: “International travel is already being impacted by the spread of coronavirus as flights are cancelled with bookings reportedly decreasing.
