I think you will find that if GR is exempt the other 25* EU will also be automatically granted access. No cherry picking with the EU. * IRE is exempt by virtue of CTA.

FAKE NEWS

adamfleming That would probably be a good deal for Greece. I guess that the number of UK citizens going to Greece - particularly on holiday - would far exceed the flow in the other direction.

No one stupid enough will go abroad this year, especially to Greece

BBCPolitics Then what is the point of quarantine? I think the more likely reason behind this story is that Greece is in real need off the tourist dollar!

F**, people really want a second wave!

Being on a flight with thick Brits is not appealing

Greece are beating it, because they are on top of testing, and quarantining. If anyone goes there, they will be subject to self isolation if they pass testing, or quarantining if they don't. Pointless to go on holiday, you wouldn't be doing much.

Europe can't wait to get to the second wave.

EU close to fast-tracking COVID-19 treatment drug The head of the European Union's medicines agency, Guido Rasi, has said an initial authorization for U.S. pharmaceutical company Gilead's remdesivir as a COVID-19 treatment could be granted in coming days.

BBCPolitics OK. They will take your temperature, you will have to wear a mask in the airport and on the plane, if you get sick when you are over there you will have to stay there till you are well. You will still have to go into quarantine for 14 days when you return. Sign me up. NOT!

So...it is the politics...quarantines aren’t really about the science, are they 10DowningStreet ?

No way, 😕

Greek selfishness! Why should we allow them into the UK unchecked and unquaranteened? What makes them so special? Their corruptness ruined their economy, they sponge a fortune from the EU, therefore the UK, now they want unfettered access to infect us. Talk about entitlement!

...and we discuss Anosmia - not a Greek island but loss of smell and taste - finally added as a key coronavirus symptom in the UK. Also home haircuts and more...

Get on a non maintained aircraft best of luck 🤣

Surely not? How can travelling like this in the summer of 2020 be a good idea? StayAlert ControlTheVirus SaveLives
