As the pandemic drags, the people who once traveled constantly say they question whether they will ever fully return to their old lives

For almost 17 years, Atlanta health-care technology sales executive Eric Goldmann has spent nearly every week on the road working.

Like many Americans, the 42-year-old took his last flight in mid-March. He’s still adjusting to life on the ground. In the era of virtual meetings, more clients cancel on him with little notice, something that rarely happened when he traveled to see them. On Zoom, he finds it harder to sniff out what he calls the “anti-sponsors” who could derail a deal.

Please. What kind of nonsense is this? This whole thing will soon be a memory.

Gorsh! 99.7% of us aren't going to die! How can I face another day?!

there is a new normal, deal with it , i am sick of hearing people whine, backwards is never a direction, new day, new way, again, deal with it,

444 Nuclear Reactors 450 Nuclear Facilities Over 1,300 Nuclear Fuel Rod Pools Over 2,000 Nuclear Detonations Over 14,000 Nuclear Weapons Over 250,000 Toxic Tons Of Radiated Nuclear Waste Globally NAKASAKI HEROSHIMA FUKUSHIMA 220 FEET OF SEA LEVEL RISE COLLAPSING END 2023

Undoubtedly this pandemic has changed business forever. We knew we had the technology, now we know we have the will.

what if they embrace the reality instead of being so childish?

They had time to think of how polluting all that air travel is.

Traveling for business stinks 1/2 or it is unnecessary in a digital world

Bossy.

pandemic ....

D’Awww

I certainly wasn’t polled. I traveled a ton, and going to even more once things subside.

If people who loved traveling choose not to travel in the future, then there is something seriously wrong with their decision making process.

The same question ask ordinary people who do not travel as constantly as them.

A bit of a dramatic headline? Fake news

Personally, I can't wait to spread my wings again.

'as the pandemic drags, people with inordinate personal wealth wallow in self-pity...'

I’ve already returned long ago. I realize this was a big global political scam and am just thrilled I didn’t fall for it for too long! Keep living in fear I’m gonna live my life without fear.

Mass tourism was a failure anyway. Some places are slowly reclaiming their lost beauty.

I have a non-profit that does work for health in several countries. We use youth and young adults to do our outreach and emergency response. It’s important work but we’ve had to almost stop our work. It’s not just traveling for fun (which I love), “road warrior” jobs are affected

Stop living in fear.

Boo-hoo? How sad for them.

Not worth it

Which is rather sound...

Meanwhile in LA where people aren’t afraid of a virus with a 99.95% survival rate:

Joy & Chris Gambill & I were having this very conversation.

I call bullshit

What life?

Virtual Reality tours and travel will likely boom. People already are taking tours with people all over the world who use iPhones.

what life?

It’s a good reason to start anew and fix all the things that were wrong before!

This too shall pass...one day. Have hope. This virus is different; may take years to overcome “in current form” but Bubonic, Spanish, Ebola, polio, measles etc all became less of an issue eventually. Give science a chance. Until then, enjoy things u CAN do. But do them safely

KELOUISE1 Aww... those poor rich people with money to 'travel constantly' are sad? People are trying to keep a roof over their heads and feed their fucking kids. Fuck this bullshit.

Let’s stop with the first world problems ...we have much bigger things to worry about then your leisure time (this is ridiculous).

We can never get it back. All we can do is start new and fresh like America is about too do.

Sorry for ones who postponed traveling abroad for later in life 😢

oh no, better find some other way to waste daddy's money

Everyone needs to get over ever returning to our old lives. The past is the past. Be Here Now

That's sad. Im doing 95% of what I did pre Covid and these articles are just feeding the depression machine. Lighten up.

The StarTrek world is here to stay... just waiting for my ride...

Pure BS, people will travel like never before.

They will. Fast forward 3 years from now and you'll find them at some crowded tourist attraction with their selfie sticks and drones.

Mass Fear & Manipulation. We let fear dominate & manipulate all life's. What we've learned is it doesn't matter if u do/don't wear a mask or follow numerous UNELECTED OFFICALS & governor fear-gauged unenforceable rules; you either will/wont get it, like any illness StopFear

Thank realDonaldTrump

DUH!!! None of us will. The world is different. Stop living in the past and work to improve the future.
