Western Australia is tightening its COVID-19 testing regime in hotel quarantine with international travellers now tested on day one, five and thirteen of their isolation period.

Previously travellers were only tested on day two and 12.

Premier Mark McGowan said the new safety measures will allow authorities to ensure people are COVID-free when they leave. The new protocol is in response to recent outbreaks from quarantine hotels in the Perth CBD.
