Promote Tawau as gastronomic destination, says Sabah Tourism Minister

KOTA KINABALU: Tawau should be developed and promoted as a food-based tourism or gastronomic destination, suggests Datuk Jafry Ariffin .

“I am confident such efforts to lure visitors will add value to the tourism products in this district,” he said in a statement Sunday .To complement such gastronomic-based tourism, the Sukau assemblyman also suggested that community-based tourism activities continue to be fostered.

Settle the roundabout where women carrying babies and children will beg from the coming vehicles, to be clear which roundabout, it is beside the mosque! Settle it first before talking about promoting tawau! Don bring tawau to shame!

More focus tourism mean more supply, services, facilities need to improve...need to plan properly

Not only promote but enhance facilities most important for local and tourism purpose use. Don't take granted

agreed but local gang issues needs to be resolved for public safety first
