The Met Office has issued a weather warning for Lancashire this week with heavy rain expected to batter the county.
Much of the North West is affected by the warning, which covers all of Lancashire and stretches from Cumbria to Derby. According to the forecaster, heavy rain is expected and may lead to disruption. It has issued a yellow warning, which is the lowest grade and means it likely that the weather will cause some low level impacts including disruption to travel. The Met Office says "flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely", while bus and train services will probably run slower and spray and flooding on roads will probably make journey times longer.Some interruption to power supplies and other services possible, according to the Met Office.
