THE Department of Tourism (DoT), in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE), has successfully concluded the second phase of the Trabaho, Turismo, Asenso job fair.

Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco reported that the job fair provided more than 8,185 tourism positions in Central Luzon , Western Visayas and Northern Mindanao .Frasco previously stated that the DoT will take a comprehensive strategy to tourism that will go beyond simple marketing to inclusive growth through jobs and product development to assist the Filipino economy in recovering from the pandemic's lasting impacts.

The more visitors we have, the more jobs we will create for our fellow Filipinos,' she added.The DoT-DoLE job fair was established in August 2022 through a memorandum of agreement signed by Frasco and Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma.Overall, the DoT-DoLE job fairs provided a total of 16,485 employment opportunities to job seekers.
