Murgatroyds is well known for its "beautiful" fish and chips which people will queue up to an hour for - so what better day to try it out than Good Friday?
For me, fish and chips is a staple seaside meal and one I only usually save for then. If I'm getting a takeaway from close to where I live I won't lie I tend to go for a sausage, chips and gravy. . However, I've been told the fish and chips is a must, and I watched Danny Malin's most recent Rate My Takeaway video where he made another visit to Murgatroyd's.
After battling my way through the queue and waiting ten minutes, as is to be expected considering how busy it was, I drove home and sat down to eat my meal. Also while I'm on the topic of time scales, I'd much rather it take a bit longer to get my food. The wait is more likely to be worth it when it is fresh and this was no exception.
