Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero on Wednesday, June 28 said the new campaign “Love the Philippines,” that the Department of Tourism recently launched, is worth giving a chance.“While I believe in the saying ‘if it ain’t broke, why fix it?’ I am willing to give it a chance,” Escudero said in a statement.
The former slogan helped generated some 4.47 million in tourist arrivals in 2013 to more than 8.26 million in 2019 just before the COVID-19 pandemic hit the Philippines in early 2020.
