Passengers wait for information on their flights at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 on January 1, 2023 after hundreds of flights were either canceled, delayed or diverted due to a power/technical glitch. The Philippines has a lot to offer to become a world-class destination, but the services at the country’s airports must first be improved, Sen. Grace Poe pointed out on Thursday.
“Catchy tourism slogans must not be thwarted by cringeworthy travelers’ experience. We must start by improving services at our airports, which are not only the nation’s gateway but also the first and last impression a tourist gets of the Philippines,” said Poe in a statement. This was after the Department of Tourism welcomed a new era of tourism for the Philippines, unveiling a new tourism slogan: Love the Philippines.
