Romelu Lukaku has pulled out of the Belgium squad for their friendly against Ireland due to a groin injury. The Roma striker will not play in the Dublin friendly but will travel with the team. His availability for the clash with England is yet to be determined.

Romelu Lukaku has withdrawn from the Belgium squad to play Ireland at Aviva Stadium on Saturday. The Roma striker, 30, has a groin injury and will play no part in the Dublin friendly, although he will travel to the game. According to the Belgian FA, Lukaku has a “slightly overloaded groin”. But he has not yet been ruled out Belgium friendly clash with England at Wembley on March 26, with a decision on his fitness to be made at the weekend.

Lukaku has scored 18 goals for Serie A giants Roma this season, having joined on loan from Chelsea. Belgium were already without Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne for the Ireland game, after he failed to make the squad due to a ‘minor groin issue’.
