Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Asst Comm Saifudin Mohd Salleh said that as of Monday , a total of 21,169 summonses had been issued in the operation, which started on June 4. "Besides that, we also issued 40 summonses for not having vehicle insurance, not wearing helmets , no number plates , no side mirrors , using a mobile phone while driving , not displaying the 'P' sticker , expired licences , malfunctioning brake lights , and illegal modifications ," he said when contacted on Tuesday ."We also seized five motorcycles and a lorry," he said.
"We are strict in this enforcement operation as we aim to spread more awareness of the importance of respecting traffic laws and regulations.
