"We're very happy and excited about it," said Andres Munoz, Chief Marketing Officer for Visit San Antonio, reflecting on the positive trends observed in tourism this year."A lot of new things have come from the industry into San Antonio," Munoz remarked during the committee meeting."The operational goals are going to be met, probably by the month of August or so, or September," Munoz projected.
He noted several successful campaigns aimed at boosting local and international tourism, including initiatives like "Many Cools of San Antonio," which promotes unique cooling spots around the city to attract visitors."The pace of bookings of conventions is very positive. We're at 74% or so, so that pace is growing significantly," he disclosed.
Looking ahead, Munoz emphasized Visit San Antonio's proactive approach to continue fostering an attractive destination for both locals and tourists. "We're looking forward to consider the results and see how we can continue to market the destination positively for travelers from all over...hopefully they'll grow for the future and will continue to grow out of the times of pandemic," he stated.
