PETALING JAYA: Tourism Malaysia has clarified that it is not associated or involved with the Asia Pacific Tourism and Travel Federation (APTTF), and has never endorsed its Asia Pacific Tour and Travel Awards.

“Tourism Malaysia also wishes to encourage the public to utilise the online system to report doubtful tourism activities or to forward any tourism-related enquiries they may have in the future so that proper investigations can be conducted and accurate information can be shared,” it said in a statement Friday .

There were supposed to be about 200 award recipients, which the event organiser claimed was endorsed by Tourism Malaysia and Malaysia Airlines, which has also denied any involvement.
