Qld borders may not open until September | Sky News AustraliaQueensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has dashed hopes her state's border could reopen sooner rather than later telling Sky News the border could remain closed until September. \n\n“We review that at the end of each month. It’s advice that is given to me by the Chief Health Officer and whilst there is still community transmission in New South Wales and Victoria it will remain closed,” Ms Palaszczuk said. \n\n“Let’s be clear we are coming up to our June school holidays and people will be able to travel up to 150km then by July you can travel around Queensland, so then, of course, it makes sense we would look at borders in around August\u002FSeptember.”\n\n“I am not the Chief Health Officer. If Dr Young says to me at the end of this month, we can open the border, then I’ll open the border.\n\n“But we just have to wait to that end of each month to get that medical and health advice.”\n\nImage: News Corp Australia AnnastaciaMP Than she’s sending most of the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast businesses to the wall.
