Residents between the NSW central and south coasts, including in Sydney, are being warned to brace for another rain event this week, with totals in excess of 300 millimetres predicted between Wednesday and Friday.An initial flood watch has been issued for NSW central and southern rivers, and the Macquarie and Queanbeyan Rivers

Those travelling to or through affected regions for the start of the school holidays are being urged to reconsider their travel Bureau of Meteorology senior hydrologist Ailsa Schofield said while there would be widespread high rainfall totals, there was also the potential for more localised, heavier falls.
