Improve airport services to support tourism promotion drive, says Poe

Passengers wait for information on their flights at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 on January 1, 2023 after hundreds of flights were either canceled, delayed or diverted due to a power/technical glitch.

MANILA, Philippines — If the Philippines wants to become a top tourist destination, airport services need to be upgraded first, Sen. Grace Poe said Thursday. “Catchy tourism slogans must not be thwarted by cringeworthy travelers’ experience. We must start by improving services at our airports, which are not only the nation’s gateway but also the first and last impression a tourist gets of the Philippines,” said Poe in a statement.Poe’s comment follows the Department of Tourism’s unveiling of a new tourism slogan: Love the Philippines.FEATURED STORIES
