Travel influencer Sooyeon, who resides in San Francisco, US, took to TikTok to share her opinions on three European cities which didn't quite hit the mark with her

But Sooyeon, a globetrotting influencer from San Francisco, US, might just help you whittle down your options. In the past year, she checked into a whopping 17 European cities but found that three in particular didn't quite meet her expectations.

She explained: "The main reason is because I went to both Madrid and Barcelona on the same trip, and I feel like Madrid didn't have as many interesting things to do for me at least, other than the palace and museums.Then there's Catania. This old harbour city, nestled on the eastern seaboard of Sicilia, seemed like the dream 'Italian vacation' to Sooyeon, but it just didn't match up with her visions of la dolce vita.

She didn't feel unsafe or bored here, praising the city for its 'welcoming' atmosphere and 'cool cafes, shops and roads'. But something was missing.
